The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is proudly working towards solutions for a better life and is constantly evolving its practices for the good of the students, staff, and community. Together, with small changes, we can make a large enough impact to change the future of sustainability and respond to and manage climate change.
Join us on Monday 7 – Friday 11 November, 10am - 2pm in the Chancellors Mall, where the University will be hosting our annual environmental sustainability week, Sustainable Futures. This week will include interactive games and activities, offer staff and students the chance to meet with local sustainable and wildlife organisations, make a pledge to the planet and grow desktop Christmas trees, just to name a few.
This week aims to educate all students and staff on the importance of practicing sustainability across all areas of their lives. Each day of the week will have a theme, from Wildlife; how to protect and conserve it, to Energy and Transport.
The Environmental Sustainability Lead for the University said: “As one of the largest organisations in the Greater Manchester region, the University recognises the environmental impacts from its activities, routine operations, infrastructure development, and its influence over wider community regionally, nationally, and globally. Join us on the journey to protect our planet.
