Study with an Off-Campus Partner
Stephen qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 and was made a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales in 1979. He worked for Deloitte in Australia as a Chartered Accountant for two years before returning to the UK where was made a Partner with Harry L Price and subsequently Ernst & Whinney. Stephen qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 1988 and was made a Fellow of the Insolvency Practitioners Association. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3). In 1989 Stephen set up his own Company specialising in Corporate Rescue and Recovery, which in 2002 he merged with the Begbies Traynor Group and latterly worked at CG & Co based in Manchester.
In July 2022, Stephen was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration (Hon.DBA) for his services to the University.
