Dr Payam Salamati

Programme Leader for BSc Construction Project Management

Dr Payam Salamati is a Lecturer in Construction Project Management and Programme Leader of the BSc in Construction Project Management within the School of Engineering.

He graduated with a BSc in Civil Engineering and land surveying in 2009 and He also worked in the construction consultant company for three years following completion. He continued his education with an MSc in Construction Project Management at the University of Salford and graduated in 2015.

He turned to construction management and the impact of natural disasters on hospitals. He was awarded his PhD in Construction Management from the University of Salford in 2021. His PhD thesis at the University of Salford has been based on disaster management and the title of his PhD thesis is Building the resilience of Iranian hospitals to earthquake & flood disasters.

Dr Payam Salamati worked previously at Northampton University, Global Banking School (GBS) in partnership with Bath SPA University, and the University of Salford,and Since August 2022 he joined the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø as a full-time lecturer in construction project management. He currently teaches Construction Project Management, Project finance Sustainable Construction, and Geospatial Surveying modules.

He has over 10 years of academic and industrial experiences in areas of construction project management, land surveying, disaster management, which also involved working in Iran, and the UK. His current research interests are of BIM and digital technologies in Construction, Off Site Construction, Risk management, Sustainability in Construction Industry, Project Management in Construction, Disaster management, Sustainable and Resilient Urban Developments.
