Study with an Off-Campus Partner
Ben has worked in higher education for over 12 years and is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Health and Society, where he teaches on the Masters programme and the Professional Doctorate.
He also supervises PhD students and is actively involved in research, individually and with colleagues, both within and outside the university. His research focuses on marginalised groups and individuals and those who rarely get their voice heard, in areas such as homelessness, children and young people, South Asian women, and bereavement.
His teaching and research are in topics that relate directly to equity, social justice, and health and wellbeing, like health inclusion, death anxiety, bereavement experiences and resulting support needs around these topics.
As a member of regional and national groups, he believes collaboration and co-production are important to work toward a more sustainable and fairer society in which everyone is valued.
